Comfort, Intensity, and Sensation
Choose a comfortable intensity and resolve strong, absent, or uneven sensations.
What Should Serenity Feel Like?
The sensation produced by Serenity can vary from person to person.
Some users notice a gentle feeling of swaying or movement. Others may experience only a mild sensation at the ears, or very little sensation at all.
The sensation may also become less noticeable with repeated use.
You do not need to feel a strong sensation for the device to be operating.
Finding a Comfortable Intensity
Start each session at the lowest setting.
Increase gradually if desired, keeping the sensation comfortable throughout the session.
Do not increase the intensity simply to produce a stronger sensation.
If the Sensation Is Too Strong
- Press the minus (-) button to reduce intensity.
- Remain still and breathe normally.
- Stop the session if discomfort continues.
If You Feel Little or No Sensation
- Confirm that the session is running.
- Check that both ear clips are properly attached.
- Make sure the clips have adequate conductive gel.
- Check for a red contact warning.
Do not increase intensity beyond a comfortable level to compensate for a weak sensation.
If the Sensation Feels Uneven
- Stop the session.
- Remove both clips.
- Clean and dry the earlobes.
- Check the conductive gel and clip placement.
- Reattach the clips evenly and restart at the lowest setting.
If the problem continues, consult the Troubleshooting section.
